Saddhajaya
Saddhajaya
Saddhajaya first came in contact with the Dublin Buddhist Centre in 2010 when she booked on a five week meditation course. She became a Mitra (a committed Buddhist) in 2015 and was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2023. She co-leads a women’s study group as well as being on the team for the Sunday Morning Puja.
‘I felt the benefits [of learning meditation] almost immediately so I decided to stay on and complete an introduction course in Buddhism. The effects were amazing and it changed my life completely.’
‘I stay in contact with the Sangha and the Centre as much as possible. The teaching of the Buddha has given my life meaning. I understand that action have consequences so that changes my behaviour. The understanding that everything is arising and passing helps me not to get too attached to things.’
Our Teachers
Our classes in Buddhism and meditation are in the most part delivered by ordained members of the Triratna Buddhist Order.
The Order consists of men and women who are themselves living a life of meditation and Buddhist practice, and have been for many years.
