Triratna Day Festival
Sunday 6th April 2025, 10am – 4.30pm
Led by Sadayasihi
In April 1967 Urgyen Sangharakshita founded what was to become the Triratna Buddhist Community. Triratna is a modern Buddhist community that is rooted in the Buddha’s teaching and example, yet relevant and effective in today’s world.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the birthday of Sangharakshita so throughout this festival day we will celebrate all we have been given from our teacher.
Along with meditation and mantra chanting, we will hear from Sangharakshita himself about the five ‘pillars’ on which our community is based. In the afternoon Jnanadhara, Triratna’s International Movement Coordinator, will give a talk on ‘Buddhism Beyond Borders: the Internationality of Triratna’. The day will finish with a special puja to celebrate.
All are welcome, no need to book. Please bring a vegetarian lunch to share.
