Meditation Night
An Under-30 Event
Friday 25th October 2024, 7pm – 8.30pm
Led by Jyotika
Are you 30 or under? Join us at the Dublin Buddhist Centre on the last Friday of each month for a special meditation night.
The evening will focus on Buddhist practice, including meditation, chanting, and ritual. You’ll also have the chance to share your experiences and hear some Dharma (Buddhist teaching).
The formal session concludes at 8.30pm, followed by tea for those who wish to stay and chat.
These practice nights are a wonderful chance to connect with other meditators of a similar age, and to deepen your Dharma practice.

Jyotika began meditating in the mid-90s while at university where he studied English Literature and Theatre. He joined the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2000.
‘I realised I was a Buddhist when I heard about the Six Paramitas or Perfections, which are: Giving; Ethics; Patience; Energy; Meditation; Wisdom. And that the practice of these will lead to freedom.’
‘I find the Dharma – the teaching of the Buddha – endlessly fascinating in its depth, breadth, nuance and complexity. Simple teachings like ‘friendship is the whole of the spiritual life’, and ‘seek the wisdom that has faith as its goal’, which I’ve been contemplating for about 25 years, still moves me deeply.’
All our Under-30 events are offered free of charge but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide these kinds of events.
