Going Deeper in Meditation Retreat

Residential Sangha Retreat

Friday 17th – Sunday 19th January 2025

Led by Vajrashura and Sadayasihi

You’ve seen the benefits of meditation by now – a clearer mind, a more positive heart, a more robust way of responding to the world.

How do we continue our progress? What’s the next step for us to continue to develop our meditation practice?

On this Going Deeper Meditation Retreat, we’ll be spending a weekend in ideal conditions for this exploration. We’ll take a deeper look at how we…

  • …get distracted and get absorbed.
  • …can dwell with and delight in the ever-changing nature of experience.
  • …develop a deeper appreciation of ‘spiritual death’ – the letting go in meditation which will enrich our practice.
  • …transition more easily from meditative intensity to everyday activities, and back again.

Most of all, on retreat we give ourselves the best possibility of experiencing a wonderful stability, flexibility, and richness in meditation.

Come join us for this exciting weekend retreat!

Note: This retreat assumes participants are familiar with the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Development of Loving Kindness meditations. If you’re not familiar with these, our next upcoming meditation course starts on Thursday 9th January 2025, or there’s a Buddhism and meditation course starting on Monday 13th January 2025.

Where

Mucklagh House, County Wicklow.

This former country lodge is cosy, comfortable, and surrounded by woods. It’s a 90-minute drive from Dublin City. See below for a Google Map.

We asked previous retreat participants what the highlights were for them. They answered:

  • Meeting others on the retreat
  • The meditation
  • The food
  • The chance to reflect

All dishes are vegan, but don’t let that put you off. We’ve astounded by many omnivores on our retreats who admitted they had no idea vegan food could be so tasty and filling!

Every meal is cooked from scratch, and there is always enough for second helpings. No one ever goes hungry on our retreats.
