The Way of Loving Kindness

Two-Day Meditation Workshop

Oscailt, Pembroke St. Dublin 4

Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th February 2026, 10am – 5pm

Led by Vajrashura

Join us for a weekend of meditation, reflection, and connection as Vajrashura leads an in-depth exploration of the Karaniya Metta Sutta — the Buddha’s beautiful and profound teaching on loving-kindness (metta).

Often regarded as one of the most poetic and inspiring texts in the Buddhist tradition, the Karaniya Metta Sutta goes far beyond being a simple guide to cultivating friendliness. It encapsulates the entirety of the Buddhist path, expressing the threefold training of ethics, meditation, and wisdom.

This two-day urban retreat offers the ideal opportunity to escape from the hecticness of everyday life, practice meditation, and explore how loving kindness can transform our experience of others and the world around us.

Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner, this workshop offers a rich opportunity to reconnect with the heart of the Buddha’s teaching — and with a community of fellow meditators.

Please note this event is not taking place in our usual premises.

Since ordination, he’s been one of the DBC’s main teachers, leading many courses, retreats, and events each year, and is concerned with helping people go more deeply into meditation and Buddhism. He also is helping coordinate the new retreat centre project and looks after the DBC finances.
