Falling in Love: The Great Dream
An Under-30 Seminar
Saturday 13th July 2024, 10am – 1pm
Led by Jyotika
What is the Buddhist view on falling in love? Is it a spiritual experience? The world tells us that the romantic ideal should be sought after, that romantic love holds the key to a happy life. To what extent might the Buddhist perspective accord with this, and how might it differ?
Using material from a series of talks on Eros & Beauty by two senior Triratna Order members, Subhuti and Padmavajra, plus a story from Greek mythology, we’ll explore these questions on the seminar. The morning will be a mix of study, discussion, story-telling and meditation.
