DBC Parents' Sangha Event with Karunagita

Tuesday 4th February 2025, 7.30pm – 9pm

Led by the DBC Parents’ Sangha

Karunagita is an experienced Order Member and the author of A Path for Parents, a book she wrote while she was a Mitra training for ordination. As a mother of two now-grown children, Karunagita brings a wealth of personal insight into the joys and challenges of integrating Buddhist practice with the demands of family life. She is also dedicated to supporting women training for ordination, working with both English- and Spanish-speaking communities.

For Buddhist parents, navigating the balance between spiritual growth and the responsibilities of raising a family can feel particularly complex. Karunagita’s work addresses these challenges with warmth, practical wisdom, and compassion. Drawing on her own experience, she explores ways to stay connected to the Dharma while managing the everyday realities of parenting.

Join us for an upcoming event where Karunagita will share her insights on practicing Buddhism as a parent. This event will offer a supportive space to discuss the unique challenges Buddhist parents face and to explore strategies for deepening practice while fostering a harmonious family life. Whether you’re a parent yourself or simply curious about this path, Karunagita’s teachings promise to inspire and encourage.
