A Buddhist Response to the World Around Us – An Online Introduction to Buddhism Course

A Five Week Course

We live in troubled and uncertain times. As many of the routines and certainties of normal life are lost to the coronavirus outbreak, and we are confronted with the prospect of large scale illness and loss of life.

We may find ourselves faced with urgent and uncomfortable questions about the nature and purpose of human life and our place in the world.

In times such as these Buddhist teachings and practices are needed more than ever and it is with this in mind that we are offering this free online introduction to Buddhism course. Because the Buddha’s teaching is addressed to the fundamentals of human life, it is as relevant now, – in a 21st century pandemic – as it ever was.

You don’t need to be a Buddhist to join the course, all that is required is an openness to life’s experiences and an openness to exploring that experience in the light of Buddhist teachings and practices. There will be meditation taught as part of the course and we will be encouraging you to practice at home.

The Buddha’s teaching is addressed to the fundamentals of human life, it is as relevant now, – in a 21st century pandemic – as it ever was. So you are warmly invited to join us for this course, which will run for five weeks on a donation basis.

You can join the class via Zoom (note that the password, if asked, is 414835).
