An Eight-Week Online Course on a Buddhist Response to the Climate and Ecological Emergency

Climate change and the ecological emergency were not issues that pressed upon people in the time of the Buddha. Living in the world today is so different to living in the Buddha’s time yet these problems share the same underlying causes as problems in the Buddha’s time and are addressed by his teaching.

On this course we will explore the unique perspective the Buddha’s teaching brings to climate change and the ecological emergency, while also providing us with the tools to face these issues with loving kindness, a deepening connection with the Earth, and sufficient emotional freedom to act now!

This 8-week course is based on the book The Burning House by Shantigarbha and you will need a copy of this book to do the course. It can be purchased online from Windhorse Publications in either hardcopy or as an ebook.

This course will be run on Zoom. All our online events are offered for free but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide classes in this way. The suggested donation for this course is €160.

Suitable for: anyone who would like to learn more about a Buddhist approach to the climate and ecological emergency.
