It is ancient\, extending back to the Buddha’s very first discourse\, and is highly valued as a unique treasure of wisdom and practical guidance on how to live our lives. This course will be a lively and systematic introduction to the Eightfold Path; how the path starts with Vision\, a moment of insight\, followed by the Transformation of our whole being in the light of that truth – transformation of emotions\, imagination\, speech\, actions\, livelihood\, effort\, awareness and meditation. The course is accompanied by the book The Buddha’s Noble Eightfold Path by Sangharakshita that you receive as part of the course. \n \n \n \n \n \n This course is for anyone who is interested in learning more about Buddhism and how to live well in today’s world. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Varabandhu \n \n \n \n \n \n Varabandhu first came through the doors of the Dublin Buddhist Centre in March 2012 to learn to meditate as a response to suffering. He soon found that regularly practicing meditation positively transformed his mind and his life and in 2014 he became a committed Buddhist. Seven years later he deepened that commitment by being ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order. Varabandhu has been leading meditation courses\, Buddhist study and retreats since 2021. He worked for two years as a fundraiser for Future Dharma and is now working as a court reporter. He volunteers his time to teach at the Dublin Buddhist Centre so that others can benefit in the same way he has. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Saddhajaya \n \n \n \n \n \n Saddhajaya first came in contact with the Dublin Buddhist Centre in 2010 when she booked on a five week meditation course. She became a Mitra (a committed Buddhist) in 2015 and was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2023. She co-leads a women’s study group as well as being on the team for the Sunday Morning Puja. \n \n \n \n \n \n WhenSix weeks starting Monday 22nd June 2026 from 6.30pm – 8.45pm.
