DESCRIPTION:The Buddha's Noble Eightfold Path \n \n \n \n Six Week Buddhism Course \n \n \n \n Starts Monday 9th June 2025\, 6.30pm – 8.45pm \n \n \n \n Led by Prasannadeva \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What will be explored? \n \n \n \n Who is this course for? \n \n \n \n The Course Leader \n \n \n \n When and Where \n \n \n \n Booking Information \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Noble Eightfold Path is the most widely known of the Buddha’s teachings. It is ancient\, extending back to the Buddha’s very first discourse\, and is highly valued as a unique treasure of wisdom and practical guidance on how to live our lives. This course will be a lively and systematic introduction to the Eightfold Path; how the path starts with Vision\, a moment of insight\, followed by the Transformation of our whole being in the light of that truth – transformation of emotions\, imagination\, speech\, actions\, livelihood\, effort\, awareness and meditation. The course is accompanied by the book The Buddha’s Noble Eightfold Path by Sangharakshita that you receive as part of the course. \n \n \n \n \n \n This course is for anyone who is interested in learning more about Buddhism and how to live well in today’s world. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Prasannadeva \n \n \n \n \n \n Prasannadeva first came through the doors of the Dublin Buddhist Centre in 2012. He became a committed Buddhist in 2013 and was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 2021. Having studied Fine Art he was keen to find a context where his love of Western art\, film and music was considered an important aspect of the spiritual life\, regardless of whether it is an Eastern tradition or not\, and felt right at home here. Prasannadeva has taught meditation courses with Trinity Meditation Society\, has been involved with leading Young Buddhist events and is now leading Buddhism and meditation courses.
