Residential Weekend Retreats
A retreat gives you a chance to put aside the concerns and demands of your everyday routine. By getting away from the noise and clutter of the city or wherever you come from, you can begin to relax and open up.
Many people who go on retreat feel more grounded, calmer and in touch with themselves.
Those who go on retreat regularly find these qualities pervading the rest of their lives, and find their spiritual practice naturally deepening.
The retreats listed here are suitable if you've done a meditation course with us.
A Love Supreme: Transforming our world with Metta
How we view the world, the kind of attention we bring to the world, changes the world.
A positive state of mind and heart evokes an entirely different way of thinking than a negative one.
So we are creative, tolerant and openhearted, rather than inward looking and defensive.
On this retreat, we will explore meditation generally but particularly the transformative effects of the Metta Bhavana, moving beyond a purely utilitarian view of the world and opening our eyes to its beauty, transforming views of ourselves and others.
Cost: €220 waged / €180 low-waged / €130 unwaged or student.
This retreat will take place in Mucklagh, Co. Wicklow
The Three Jewels - Gateways to Freedom
The Awakened One, the path he taught and the community he founded are known as the Three Jewels - the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
There is more to the Three Jewels than meets the eye and on this springtime retreat we'll be delving beneath the surface to uncover their inner meaning.
We'll see how, through a deepening engagement with them, they can become portals to spontaneity, creativity and freedom.
Cost: €215 waged / €195 low-waged / €155 unwaged or student.
Takes place in Sandville House, Co. Cavan.
