Parent Sangha Launch Evening

Friday 25th November 2022
7:00pm - 8:30pm

Led by Parents within the Dublin Buddhist Centre Sangha

An Online Only Event

Online Only

Parenting or caring for others can sometimes feel like a journey between the highest highs and the lowest lows. The Parent Sangha are a group of parents who met through contact with the Dublin Buddhist Centre.

Having found that their connection with each other provided great joy and support on what can be a rollercoaster journey, they wanted to set up a way to support others who may be going through a similar journey. Their aspiration is to nurture a sangha within a sangha, where people can support each other, provide solidarity and even practical tools to support parenting and caring as a Dharma practice.

Their first event will include a talk about “Parenting with Metta” by  Atulyamitra. The evening will also provide some practical tools and a chance for people to chat with other parents and people in a caring or teaching role.

This will be the first in a series of talks on “Parenting as Practice” by guest speakers using the Brahma Viharas as a guide. Future talks will be based on Parenting with; Mudita (sympathetic joy), Karuna (compassion) and Upekkha (equanimity).

Suitable for: parents and guardians in the Triratna Buddhist Sangha and also those in a caring/teaching role with children.

All our online events are offered for free but you might consider making a donation to help us to continue to provide classes.
