SUMMARY:Buddha Day Festival
DESCRIPTION:Sunday 26th May 2024\, 10am – 5pm \n \n \n \n Led by Maitrikaya and Team \n \n \n \n \n Join us for this festival day as we celebrate the Enlightenment experience of the Buddha. On or near the full moon in May every year we recollect and honour the Buddha. This is a joyous time for Buddhists worldwide as we remember that all our practices stem from that momentous event\, which happened in India over 2\,500 years ago. This year\, through meditation\, ritual and storytelling\, we will transport ourselves in our imagination to ancient India and come into the presence of the Buddha\, the Awakened One\, from whom all the Dharma treasures have arisen. You can also pick up a piece of treasure in the form of Buddhist books and images\, which have been donated by Maitrikaya and will be available on a dana basis for the Centre during the day. We look forward to seeing you there! Please bring along some vegetarian lunch to share. This event will also be available on Zoom. Please follow the link below a few minutes before 10am to join. Join us on Zoom (passcode if required is buddha and the meeting ID is 899 7932 5863) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Location: Meet at Drumcondra Library\n \n Address:\n \n\nMeet at Drumcondra Library\, Millmount Avenue\n \n \n Drumcondra\,\n\n Dublin\n\n D09 PT78\n\n Ireland\n\n\n\n\n + Google Map \n\n\n \n Phone:\n \n (01) 817 8933 \n \n\n\n \n View Venue Website \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Add to calendar \n \n \n\n \n \n \n Google Calendar\n\n \n iCalendar\n\n \n Outlook 365\n\n \n Outlook Live\n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n Beyond Usefulness - A Journey Towards Meaning - Buddhism Course \n\n\n \n \n Living a Truly Human Life - Newcomer Meditation Retreat \n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n SEE ALL EVENTS
