As part of Buddhist Action Month, we will be the film AWAKE, A Dream of Standing Rock.
The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota captured world attention through their peaceful resistance against the U.S. government’s plan to construct an oil pipeline through their land.
This film, directed by Myron Dewey, documents this struggle, and is described as ‘an evocative wake-up call told as a visual poem’.
No need to book, just turn up on the night.
